Whats Happening At Our Place December 2009.

Life has been pretty hard lately.  We had no water and soldiered on for quite a few weeks expecting it to rain.  Well that didn't happen did it?

Temperatures have been  37 degrees plus for the last few weeks as well.  Often 40 to 42.  Not much one can do in that heat on a farm!

However, the water in the dams have been holding and we don't know what the cattle are eating but they look quite well.  Dirt sandwiches we think!

We have finished our Santa Letters and a lot of children are signing up for the FREE email from Santa.  If you have any kiddies that would like an email from Santa, then just head over to http://www.santasxmasmail.com/Get-an-Email-from-Santa.html

We have had bushfires all around us and it is pretty worrying as it is so early in the season.  Our bags are packed and the cat and bird cages are ready to put in the car.

My oven gave up the ghost and Vic is now installing the new kitchen.  The first thing to be connected was the new oven.  However, in this heat it is hard work.  Have cooked the turkey, pork, christmas cake and pudding all in 42 degree heat. Must say the new oven cooks well.

Our daughter had a fall yesterday off her horse and landed in hospital.  After extensive xrays on her head and neck, she has been given a clean bill of health and will be coming home today.

We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.   We will be shutting down until after the New Year and who know if the fires get closer, maybe even longer.

Until then,

Vic & Rose
