Whats Happening At Our Place February 2012.
Well it has been a long time since we did any news. Many things have
changed, both here and overseas.
On the local front, we have had unprecedented rain. Not just a few drops but incredible
amounts of it. Flooding seems to be the norm instead of a one off event.
The grass has grown so quickly, that we are having trouble keeping up with it in the Equestrian
Centre we are building. It almosts seems that if we get the mower out, then it rains immediately after!
It used to be if you washed your windows it would rain.
Our Christmas was really lovely. We went over to our daughters and the grandchildren were
very excited because Santa had been. Such a wonderful man Santa! After looking at all the presents, we
sat down to a sumptious lunch that our daughter had prepared. There isn't really anything to surpass a family
Christmas is there? Lots of laughter, food and feeling uncomfortably full after eating so much! It all
goes with the territory.
Tarsha the ginger and only cat we now have, has developed an eye problem. Her third eyelid
has come up and it won't seem to go down. We have had her to two vets. The first one decided it was
incurable. Hence we took her to the second one. It might be incurable but why take one person's
opinion? Anyway, the poor thing only has limited sight out of the infected eye. She absolutely hates
the fact that she has to have ointment in her eye 4 times a day. When she goes to the vet, she is a model
pussycat. She sits there and regardless of what they do, she never complains and they remark how good she
is. RIGHT!!!! At home, she hisses and grizzles everytime we need to do anything. Obviously being
good at the vet is hard work so she needs to take it out on us. Still she is about 15 human years old, so I
guess she is entitled to be grumpy!
Anyway until next time.
