What's happening at our place November 2007
Again this is a bit late, but better late than never.
We have finally got most things sorted out and we are updating the Members Site with some great books for Members to sell. This will get them up and running quickly.
We are also in the throes of Santa Letters and will be pretty busy with this until the beginning of December, 2007. If you know of anyone who has grandchildren, children, nieces or nephews then send them to http://www.santasxmasmail.com to get their personalised letter from Santa. There is also a free email that the kids can get.
Our drought has really bitten hard. We ran out of water in our large rainwater tank. The garden is only getting minimal watering. We had to buy water the other week and it tastes disgusting. There is no doubt about it if you get used to tank water, anything else seems awful.
Many of the birds are suffering as waterholes dry up. Kangaroos have lost the sheen on their coat and look scruffy to say the least. It is very sad.
Christmas will be hard for many families but still our undaunting Ozzie spirit will come through. Bon Bons can be made out of toilet rolls and filled with paper hats (handmade) plus some hand written jokes. Instead of a big spread of turkey and pork, there might only be a chicken with baked vegetables or cold meat and salad. It really doesn't matter much what you eat, or what you may or may not have.
There is only one important aspect and that is to celebrate the day with family and friends. If you can do that, then you are very rich indeed!
Until next time.
